Description
These new garden power spikes from Eckman provide convenient and safe power points for use in your garden regardless of weather conditions. Unlike most other power spikes they come with 12metres of power cable (rather than the somewhat useless 5 metres you usually get with most other models available).
Simply plug one end into an indoor mains power socket, position the power adaptor up to 12metres away, ‘spike’ it into soft ground (earth) and have instant, safe access to mains power sockets (max load 3120Watts). Better than common power extension leads - this high spec unit is IP44 weatherproof rated so if it rains you can continue providing safe power for your garden.
Discreetly coloured in forest green and black, they’re ideal for use with lawn mowers, hedge trimmers, water pumps, shredders, power hoses, patio heaters, ponds, garden lighting, aquatic features, Christmas lighting, electric BBQs and more! Conforms to IP44 weatherproof rating and British Standard BS1363 / CE / RohS.

Q: Why is this better than a normal extension lead or reel?
A: This is IP44 weatherproof rated so if it rains you can continue providing power; or if you powering aquatic features or water pumps you need not be so concerned about the sockets getting wet. Each plug socket is weatherproof and enclosed to remain protected from water spray
Q: If I order the PS003 power spike with timer, do I have to use the timer?
A: No, the timer4 can be easily overridden with a simple on/off switch

| This is a very good product and makes putting decorations up outside a lot easier. The only negative point which I didnt envisage was some of the plugs wouldnt go in. Your nomal plugs were fine but the larger black ones which tend to be Xmas lights would not fit in at all so I still had to use an extension lead. Other than that, it was a big help and a lot cheaper than having an outside electrical box installed. |

| The clips at the base of the unit are not very robust and two of them had detached in transport. Given the quality of the rest of the unit that was surprising but they don't affect its use much so a relatively minor point. |
