Product Information

Description

It’s hard to believe that it’s actually possible to squeeze a full 6ft 4” x 4ft 5 ½” wide double bed into a bag that you could hide away in a cupboard, ready and waiting for overnight guests, but this new, innovative design just goes to prove you can - and what’s more, it really is comfortable!

The bed comes in two parts – a folding frame made from white powder-coated aluminium and steel with fitted blue coloured tough fabric top, and a heavy duty inflatable mattress with Velcro-fastening protector that pumps up in a matter of minutes using the mains reversible-flow electric pump supplied.

Please note the frame comes fully assembled with the exception of two end bars that require slotting into place - no tools required!  The pump also deflates the mattress.

For single visitors or children, there’s a single bed available.

Special Offer: If you intend to use the folding beds for camping or caravanning trips then why add a superb tent that are secured to the bed frame using velcro straps? The tent door and windows are zippered, the door from both sides.  Windows and door are double skinned for either insect mesh protection, complete privacy or completely open.
NB: Nylon tent material is NOT waterproof.

Features

Bag contains:

  • Folding steel/aluminium frame
  • Heavy duty inflatable mattress
  • Fabric mattress protector
  • Mains powered pump

FAQs

Q: Does the pump supplied inflate and also deflate the mattress?
A:
Yes. We include a mains powered electric pump with three variable diameter adaptors. Please note! Customers do not use the adaptors to inflate/deflate the mattress supplied – the adaptors are simply included should you wish to use the pump for inflating other items (lilos, other mattresses etc for example)

Q: Is the fabric mattress protector washable?
A:
Yes. It is made of nylon and is fully washable

Q: How long does it take to assemble the double bed?
A:
With just one person, it will take around five minutes maximum (including blowing up the mattress). Note this does not include the time to actually ‘make the bed up’! (sheets, duvet, pillows etc!)  As with most things, two people doing the job will be easier

Looks to be a really good buy. Not used it yet in earnest, but my 6ft 3in son has tried it for size and says it's very comfortable. Easy to assemble and compact to store when not in use.

We have recently purchased this product but haven't actually used it as yet, we have put it up and my husband thought it was quick and easy to put together and the mattress only took seconds to inflate, we have another blow up mattress which is flocked and we think that might be more suitable, we will try them both. All in all a good idea when you have people to stay and need an extra bed that is off the floor.

The only fault lies with the straps meant to secure the mattress coverto the base. I had to unpick stitching to pull the straps tight through the buckle.

Excellent - best night's sleep we have ever had whilst camping! Bed is easy to put together, once you get the support poles connected and the lilo inflated quickly and easily. Slept 2 adults and one cold infant for 4 nights on it's first outing, with no rolling together when one person got up. I was even able to lay on it and breastfeed the baby without losing him in a sagging lilo. We always put an open double sleeping bag between the lilo and sheet for an extra layer of warmth, particularly as the lilo is just plastic and has no flocked cover, but the over-sheet that comes with it makes up for that. We did have a bit of sideways slipping of the lilo from the base on the 3rd night, but that was easily remedied by adjusting the fasteners on the sides. Being off the floor makes the bed warmer than a floor height lilo and you can store luggage/bags underneath - we stored the dog, as our border collie slept underneath us each night! Lilo needed re-inflating twice over the 4 nights, but that seems to be the norm with most lilo's these days! Downsides are that although totally worth it for the comfortable sleep, it is an expensive piece of kit to buy initially, so you have to really want one! I am sure it will repay us with many happy camping trips now, as we had previously been limited to 2-night hols due to uncomfortable sleeping arrangements and the resulting backache that came with sleeping on the floor. One other point is that you need to watch your legs on the corners - we all had several bruises from walking into the metal poles when getting out of the sleeping compartment of our tent! May consider putting some foam around the corners for future trips, especially with small children and pets walking around.

Idea and value for money was great. My problem was not being strong enough to put the final bar in so I was unable to use it otherwise I would rate it 5 star.
