Description

Eckman Titanium Elite Range Limited Lifetime Warranty
All of the Eckman garden hand tools from the Titanium Elite range come with a limited lifetime warranty. This guarantees the product against faulty workmanship for the liftetime of the purchaser - not just the lifetime of the product.

These exceptional lopping shears from Eckman's new Titanium Elite range provide an unmatchable cutting performance using an ideal balance of blade toughness and superior "edge-holding" - both acheived by using SK5 high carbon steel - together with patented titanium plating which helps the blade stay sharper for 30% longer.

The ergonomically designed lightweight handles, manufactured from nylon and fibreglass, plus force-reducing double pulleys combine with the blade technology to maximise cutting efficiency with minimum effort - something all keen gardeners look for.

The lopping shears come in anvil and bypass designs (see FAQs for the differences) and both will slice through branches of up to 50mm (2") in diameter, weigh a mere 1040g and have an overall length of 70cm.

BOGOF! Buy one set of lopping shears and we'll send you another pair absolutely free!

FAQs

Q: Can you explain about the guarantee a bit more?
A:
Products that carry a limited lifetime warrantee are actually usually limited to the lifetime of the product (normally 7 years maximum) and not the user. The Eckman Limited Lifetime Warrantee guarantees the product against faulty workmanship for the lifetime of the purchaser (meaning the guarantee is not transferable). Any product found to be defective will be replaced or repaired free of charge but must be returned at the purchaser’s cost. The warranty does not cover damage due to abuse or normal wear and tear

Q: What is the difference between Anvil and Bypass loppers?
A:
Anvil style loppers have a straight blade that cuts the branch against a small anvil or block as the handles are squeezed. Anvil Style is usually used when pruning dead branches. Bypass pruners and loppers use a curved cutting blade that slides past a broader lower blade, much like a scissors. When pruning 'live' branches the bypass style is best to use to prevent unnecessary tearing or crushing of branches

Q: You state these pruners have a maximum cutting capacity of 50mm diameter stems. Does that cover all types of wood?
A:
No.  50mm diameter applies to live stems or stems that have recently died. Maximum cutting ability will be reduced when pruning wood that has been dead for a number of months

Q: As the cutting blade is titanium plated, can I still sharpen it when it eventually gets blunt?
A:
Yes.  You can re-sharpen in the normal way

Q: Can you use these pruners whether you are right or left-handed?
A:
 Yes. It makes no difference

Q: What happens if I try and cut wire with these shears?
A:
You will probably succeed, depending on the thickness of the wire, but you will dull the edge of the blade and you will not be able to claim on your warranty should this result in blade damage

Q: If I damage the blade, is it replaceable?
A:
Yes
