A: The Eckman Customer Service number is 0871 590 5911
Q: There are a few different electric wheeled leaf vacuum available now. What makes this model different?
A: There are a number of advantages this model has over most other electric leaf vacuums currently on the market that simply vacuum and shred leaves. It would be convenient if all the leaves would fall onto the lawn so they could easily be vacuumed up. Unfortunately this normally isn’t the case and the leaves end up falling everywhere, including onto gravel pathways and drives as well as into beds and borders. If you tried to vacuum up leaves off of gravel, you’ll more than likely end up with a bag of gravel as well as the leaves. And this would be if you were lucky as normally gravel would damage or destroy the shredding fan and put holes in the collection bag. Trying to wheel the machine through the flower beds and borders presents similar problems. To overcome these problems, we’ve built in both a front blower and a 190cm long (that’s over 6ft) tubular blower pipe. For gravel paths, either of these options does the job of moving the leaves to a more convenient place for vacuuming. The blower tubes then are perfect for blowing the leaves out from between plants and shrubs and onto the lawn or path for vacuuming later.
Q: You say your model also has “continuous height adjustment”. What does this mean and what are the benefits ?
A: Vacuuming leaves off of different surfaces, including varying grass lengths, necessitates being able to adjust the height of the vacuum inlet from the ground. Most models of leaf vacuum, including this one) have the facility to adjust the vacuuming height, but must then be locked into place. This is fine except as soon as the circumstances changes, you have to go through the whole procedure again. This model offers “continuous height adjustment” allowing you to vary the height of the vacuum inlet as you move and keep the wheels firmly on the ground at the same time.
Q: Is there any assembly required when I receive the machine?
A: Yes, but very little and should only take a few minutes. The wheel assembly has four screws that need fixing with a Phillips screwdriver and that’s really about it.
Q: Do I need any special training before using this machine?
A: No. When in vacuum mode, use it as you would a normal indoors vacuum. Just avoid vacuuming up stones. When in blower mode, take care of your surroundings and make sure you don’t blow leaves or debris directly at bystanders.
