| bought these steps for my 73 year old mum who was not happy with the light aluminium ones she had. These steps are certainly well made and are most certainly not lightweight, something that should be borne in mind if anyone was considering the 4 step version! the treads are wide and have a good non slip rubber covering. The handrails down the sides certainly are a good idea. These steps however only get 4 stars because the locking mechanism to keep the steps from folding whilst in operation is at best shoogly (good scottish word!) This means that when you step on the first two treads they move slightly which from a stability point of view, is not the best. This movement is however not significant, hence only one star lost, but it could so easily be improved with a better designed locking mechanism/catch. Overall i am more than satisfied with the steps. |

I was a bit disappointed to find how heavy the ladder is. I thought that as they are supposedly for older peole to use they would be made of aluminium like the other step ladders I possess. They are also difivcult to store with the handrails protuding so have to keep them outside my back door under a shelter.

| Bought these for my Father who is 84 and has a bad knee so struggles even to walk. Tried not to get them for his safety but had to give in and order them when he asked me to get his old steps from the garage. We had a bit of a struggle to put them together, not because it's difficult but because the instructions are a little vague and he had to make it more difficult than it was. Then he had to try them, no problem! They are steady and secure. If he stands on the second step he can reach the ceiling and has a rail to hold on to. They are a little unweildly but I 'walked' them to move them and he could even lift them, but not carry them. I am not good on steps but am fine on these. Would reccommend them to anyone who is a little unsure on steps and definately for anyone with an elderly parent who still wants to do things that scare you! |

| Wonderful concept and design. On the down side, the matting on the steps appears more plastic than rubber and has not been pressed/flattened down in several places which means the surface is slightly uneven, making this aspect appear somewhat shoddy. Arriving so very late, as it did, I had to employ a professional with ladders to prune a tree I'd intended to attempt myself with this purchase. I've consequently only been able to check its performance briefly indoors when it felt very slightly wobbly if I leaned a little to one side. |

| I have some problems with my feet and legs which cause me to be unsteady. This product is excellent as it provides a means to do some jobs without worrying about keeping your balance etc. The broad steps and the side bars and top grips are ideal. I would recommend this product to anyone. Storage required for the steps is a minor problem by comparison to ordinary steps but the benefits provided are worthwhile. |

Best of all (unexpectedly) is that when standing on the third step I can put the things I am getting down from a high shelf onto the top step, instead of having to hold them in my arms when stepping down. |
